The PRINCEPS Risk Intelligence Institute is collaborating with Adapt Institute, Klub Jagielloński, and the Centre for Euro-Atlantic Integration and Democracy – CEID on the project “The Disinformation Game: Can You Spot and Unravel Online Deception?” funded by the International Visegrad Fund.

Project description

The project addresses the growing threat of online disinformation by developing an interactive, scenario-based educational game specifically tailored for audiences in the Visegrad region. Its objective is to enhance critical thinking and media literacy skills, particularly among students and young professionals, by allowing participants to actively engage with realistic examples of online manipulation. The game demonstrates authentic disinformation tactics, equipping users with practical tools to identify, analyse, and respond effectively to misinformation.

Traditional media literacy resources available in Central Europe often rely on passive learning materials or limited-access workshops. This initiative bridges existing gaps by embedding innovative risk intelligence approaches into an engaging online game, available in Czech, Slovak, Polish, Hungarian, and English. It will be complemented by comparative research across the Visegrad countries, thorough user testing, and targeted public workshops designed to maximise the learning impact.

Through this initiative, we seek to foster resilience against disinformation across Central Europe, empowering individuals to critically engage with digital content and strengthen democratic participation.
