Agenda

The January 2024 session of the PRINCEPS Executive Club focused on the fast-developing field of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and how organisations can approach it with a mindset of opportunity rather than fear. Hosted by the PRINCEPS Risk Intelligence Institute, the event invited participants to explore how AI can become a practical and strategic asset, particularly when approached with curiosity, critical thinking, and ethical awareness.

The session featured Senta Čermáková, CEO of Czechitas, and Miloš Čermák, writer and commentator with a strong focus on technology and society. Both speakers brought a unique combination of hands-on experience and critical insight into the cultural, business, and ethical implications of AI adoption.

Discussion

Throughout their session, the speakers demonstrated their shared belief that generative AI does not have to represent a threat, but can instead serve as a competitive advantage when used with intention and care. Their presentation was interactive, incorporating practical examples and active audience participation, which helped ground abstract technological concepts in everyday experience. A live word-association poll conducted during the event revealed that most participants associated AI with the future and potential for support, a pattern that both speakers frequently observe during their workshops.

The discussion also subtly challenged prevailing narratives of fear and uncertainty around AI, instead promoting a perspective of critical engagement—one that acknowledges the risks while embracing the transformative possibilities AI offers across sectors.
